Washing, brushing, combing and caring.

We should all look "good" all of the time.Now, I didn't say glamorous or done-up to the nines, just "good"; like daytime "good".

"Good" implies a certain caring about ourselves.And a certain caring implies a certain amount of self-esteem; which we all know translates into a certain amount of success.

We can save the glam-doll stuff for when we really have time and for when we have someplace prestigious or very important to go.Let's admit it, putting on all of our make-up does take time and effort.But looking "good" takes just a little effort and just a little time.

Keep in mind the basics.Washing, brushing, combing and caring!

Wash your hair, wash your face, shave everyday and wash under your fingernails.

Wash your hair and always let it sparkle and shine.Remember when we were younger and our hair would get oily in one day, well those days are gone and now for that same sheen, use a spritz of oil after your coiff is finished and it will add luster and gloss!

Wash your face often.Of course wash it in the bath, first thing in the morning, after nap and even during the day.A wonderful face cloth will revive and refresh.The Dove Company even makes single sheet face washes.Do this whenever you need a little pick-me-up.The moment it takes is very reviving.And not to mention how refreshed you feel afterwards.

The old saying ,"shave everyday and you'll always feel keen", is true! So shave everyday, you'll look and feel cleaner, keener and very presentable!

Wash your fingernails.There is nothing worse than unclean nails.Not only is it dirty, and unclean, but also it looks so awful.

Brushing - brush your teeth and brush your hair.

Brush your teeth.You talk to people all day long, be fresh, feel fresh, and feel confident in speaking to anyone and everyone.

Brush your hair and do something with it.Pull it back, put it up, and maybe even put a ribbon in it.It's that simple.A ribbon will give your hair a finished look.A rubber band will look unfinished, so after the rubber band, ribbon it; big ribbons, small ribbons, small scarves, try a combination of ways.Barrettes are great too.And even if your cut is short, a little femininity goes a long way.Go to the mirror and see just how "finished" your hair will look.This alone with basic make-up will give you a million dollar look!

Combing is very important.Make sure your hair parts are crisp and clear.It just takes a moment and it really adds to the finished grooming process.

Caring.

Caring about yourself and caring about the way you look.

Care about yourself.Walk proudly, stand tall.Be clean.Bath everyday.Use nice smelling lotions and shampoos everyday.

Care about the way you look.Put on decent clothes.They don't have to be new, just be as "well put together" as you can be, that's all.Care about you as a finished person.

If you're not a teenager, don't dress like one, just be you.

If you're not going out, don't dress like you are, just dress comfortably in pretty everyday wear.If you're not going to the gym to work out, don't dress like you are.

If you've just come back from the gym and need to run an errand, dress appropriately and know that not everyone in the world spends time at the gym, so don't embarrass yourself by staying in your tight, smelly work out clothes, no matter how expensive they were. Just dress as if you may run into an old school chum.

Feel good, look good and care about yourself. It's all a reflection of you.

There's nothing worse than being at a Board of Director's meeting or a fundraising activity and picking up your child from school and not feeling like you look "good".

Take a moment to care, look in the mirror and see what you think about yourself.Then make and keep up your appearance.
